Ami established the firm in 2006 to help small businesses and individuals with accounting and tax planning. Ami’s team thrives on the best experience and outcome for their clients. Ms. Shah believes in delivering many fold value for the fees received. With over 20 years of experience in public accounting she focuses on tax planning and loves optimizing and saving taxes for her business and individual clients. Before opening her private practice in San Jose, Ami held managerial positions at CPA firms across the Silicon Valley. for She is married and mother of two daughters. In her spare time, Ami loves to volunteer at JCNC, NGN and travel with her family.
Bijal Vakharia
Bijal joined Ami Shah CPA team as a staff accountant in September 2015. She is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and enjoys using her skills to help the firm’s many clients including internal accounting.
She is experienced accountant with pleasant personality and rare go get it attitude. She is well versed in general ledger accounting, tax preparation, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, Microsoft 365, Customer Relationship Management (CRM). She is an excellent team builder. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and law from University of Gujarat.
She spends her spare time travelling, volunteering at her son’s school and spending time with family and friends.
Nipa Shah
Nipa joined Ami Shah CPA team in August 2013. She is perfectionist who believes in attention to detail and likes to do challenging work every day. She works on QuickBooks accounting, tax returns for businesses and individuals and sales tax returns. She acts as outside CFO to many small business clients and also helps with the firm’s internal accounting.
She is a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor. She holds Master’s degree in Accounting and taxation from University of Gujarat, India.
She loves to spend her spare time with family and watching movies.
Poonam Shah
Poonam joined the team in January 2016. With extensive experience in public accounting she works on tax planning and preparation for entities and high net worth clients. She is also well versed with Indian tax laws and compliance requirements and foreign disclosures.
She is Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor, Chartered Accountant from India and currently pursuing her CPA. She also holds Master`s in Accounting and Taxation from University of Pune, India. Poonam looks forward to gaining the experience necessary to provide a wide range of services to our clients.
In her spare time, Poonam enjoys cooking, painting, spending time with her family and friends.
Abhishek Adeshara
Abhishek joined Ami Shah CPA team as a staff accountant in April 2017. He is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and enjoys bookkeeping and accounting and help the firm’s many clients.
He is experienced accountant with fun personality. He is well versed in general ledger accounting, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, Microsoft 365, Payroll, Sales tax and other compliance work. He is an excellent team player. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and law from University of Gujarat and intermediate accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountant of India.
He spends his spare time travelling, volunteering at various social activities and spending time with family and friends.
Rachna Jain
Rachna joined the team in January 2019. With extensive experience in public accounting and taxation. She works on tax preparation for high-net-worth individuals as well as medium-sized businesses. She is also an expert in quick books accounting and works as CFO for many clients. She is also well versed with Indian tax laws and compliance requirements and foreign disclosures. She is a Chartered Accountant from India and has also passed her CPA. She holds Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. She enjoys Cooking, drawing, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Suhani Shah
Suhani joined Ami Shah CPA team in December 2021. She works on tax returns for businesses and individuals, correspondence to the IRS and FTB notices. She has done MBA in Finance and has 7 years of experience in Finance and project management. She likes to learn new things. Also, she is preparing for her CPA exams.
She loves to spend her spare time with family, travelling and enjoying cooking.
Hitesh Viroja
Hitesh joined the team in Sep 2022, He Qualified MBA (Finance) with over 7+ years of experience in Accounting & Taxation and pursuing EA, he is a Tax Preparer, has a strong background in preparing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts. He stays up-to-date with the latest tax Law update to optimize tax savings and minimize tax liabilities for our clients, diligently prepares tax returns ensuring accuracy and compliance, work closely with clients, addressing their queries, providing updates, and ensuring their needs are met effectively.
